Missing Daddy
Josh is away at Butler's Showchoir Showcase summer camp for the week, so Allie and I are enjoying lots of girl time. But, life is just not the same without Josh. I'm going to try to update the blog more often this week to keep him updated on what is going on in Allie's life since he won't see her for a whole week. I am amazed at how fast she is growing up. It seems like she is doing something new everyday. Allie is a pro at crawling now. She follows me everywhere around the house. I think it's so interesting to see the things she goes for now that she can get to them. Her favorite things are electrical cords, cabinet doors and drawers, shoes, and door stops so she can pull on them and listen to them go "Boing." Today she found the door stop that Josh installed by the baby gate to keep it from hitting the wall. This particular one does not have a spring so it does not make noises. She kept pulling on it and looking up at me. She was confused because all the other door stops make fun noises. Allie has been hearing "no no" quite often as she gets into things she shouldn't. So, I've seen lots of tears and puckering of her bottom lip. This makes me so sad, but I give her hugs and kissess and tell her she has to learn to be a good girl. I must be a mean Mommy for not letting her play with electricity and eat dirt off the bottom of my shoes. :)

She Can Crawl!
Allie has finally learned to crawl. Today she also pulled up to the coffee table and started cruising to get to the video camera. Josh and I are in trouble now. She is doing something new every day.
She loves to dump all the toys out of her basket.
Of all the toys you see scattered on the floor behind her, the bowl is her favorite.

Waterbabies
Thursday was Allie's last day of Waterbabies class. I am amazed at how much she learned. She loves the water! She is able to kick her legs and move her arms in the water. We also worked on blowing bubbles, holding on to the side of the pool and jumping in.
