Allie's first birthday was an incredible day! It was so much fun to celebrate with her. We started the day off by going to get groceries...I know...really exciting, but it's our normal Monday morning routine. Then, we got Allie's one year pictures taken at JC Penney's and took Josh some lunch at work. We played with all of her new toys and she took her afternoon nap. Josh didn't get to spend as much time with us as we had planned because a Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy was shot and killed in the line of duty and he had to work really late. At first I was really mad that the Deputy had been shot and took Josh away from celebrating with Allie. But, as the story unfolded I found out that the Deputy, who was only 26 years old, left behind a wife and 2 year old daughter. After hearing this story, I was so thankful my husband was able to come home that night after almost 15 hours of work. We had enchiladas with black beans for dinner...one of Allie's favorites. Then we helped her open more presents. We are so blessed to have our precious little girl and spend every day trying to treasure each moment because she is growing so fast!

Big smiles just after waking up and hearing me sing "Happy Birthday"

Another big smile..."It's my big day!"

On our way to get pictures taken

It's hard to see, but the clock says 5:52...the exact time Allie was born.

This is what Allie was doing at 5:52pm.

So I woke her up to say "Happy Birthday!"

"I was sleeping Mom"

Still stretching

Now she's happy

Playing with her balloon

Opening her present

She got black beans and pickles...her two favorite foods
I know...she is weird

A new shirt!

Look at this big present!

"I wonder what's in there."

Money for her college fund

A new book!

Opening presents with Daddy

It's a puzzle!

"Ok Mom...Are you done taking pictures of me today?"
