17 Months!

I apologize that it's been so long since my last post. My excuse is that I decided to buy some digital scrapbooking software about a month ago. It is awesome!! I may be addicted to it now. I love scrapbooking, but have not had a chance to scrapbook anything since Allie came into our lives. It just takes so much time and she is bound to get into all my stuff. Problem solved...now I can do it all on my computer. I will try to share some of my work on this blog once I get more done.

Anyway, Allie is 17 months old now! I can't believe it! With each new "birthday" I am always saying "I can't believe how fast she is growing up" and "I can't believe my baby is already (fill in the blank) months old!" But, it's true. I really can't believe it. I think I am even more surprised at 17 months because 18 months is next and that's a whole year and a half. As much as I long sometimes to hold my sweet newborn in my arms I wouldn't trade all of Allie's milestones and achievements for anything. She has such a sweet personality and I can actually have somewhat of a conversation with her now. Another thing that makes me really feel like she is growing up is that she calls me "Mom" a lot now instead of "Momma." That makes me kind of sad, so I correct her and then she will say "Momma."

We switched daycare providers about a month ago and I am amazed at how many new words Allie is learning from the older kids she is with while she is there. She was the oldest kiddo at her old daycare so there wasn't as much talking going on. Allie can say the names of all of her new friends and has started putting phrases together. She is pretty much the coolest thing ever!

Girl Scout cookie...yum yum

Yummy

She was a happy girl

Feeding her baby a goldfish. She was saying "Baby...eat...sish" sish=fish

Even Joseph got a goldfish

Baby's snack...Allie did this all by herself

Thanks to Melissa and Harrison, Allie loves to crawl in and out of laudry baskets now. She is so proud of herself.

Look at me Momma!

Another snack for Baby. I took this picture to show off Allie's cowgirl boots with her PJs. She insisted on wearing them.

Weeeeeee

Watching Daddy mow...again she insisted on wearing the boots. We did not leave the house dressed this way.

Look at Daddy!

Loving being outside!

She likes to put on the oven mits. It looks like she is ready to box someone in this picture.
