Allie's Language

This post is mostly for my benefit because I want to remember all the cute things that Allie says. She is saying something new every day and she gets really frustrated with me when I can't understand her. Here are some of the things we have been able to decipher. These are just the odd ones. Most of her words are pretty clear.

bobo = blanket
note = milk
sawsa = anything that can be dipped in (BBQ sauce, ketchup, salsa)
efant = elephant
ooh ooh = monkey
buty = book or birdie
eattie = egg
uppie = pick me up
num num = candy
yeyo = yellow
bus = toothbrush
hend? = Can I wash my hands?
eww = You need to change my diaper
nack = snack
mo = more
huh? = added to the end of a word or phrase signifies a question (ex. outside huh? = Can I go outside, all done huh? = Can I be all done?)
Elmo = diaper (in the right context) Pampers have Elmo on them.
nose or neenex = Kleenex
sishies = goldfish (her absolute favorite thing to eat...besides candy)
peas = peas or please
dayn tu = thank you
bees = ladybugs
hottie = high chair
I doot = I do it
Dosh = Josh
Ayee = Allie
Desy = Daisy
She won't even attempt to say my name :)

Some of her favorite phrases:
I see you or I see 'em (this also means I hear them)
I sit down
Help me
I read a buty (book)
Daddy singing (when Josh is not home she thinks he is singing at church even though I try to convince her that he is working)
Baby night night (she is always talking about what her baby is doing...baby eating, baby sleeping shhh)
She counts if I say "One" she will say "two, free, five, nine!"

This morning Allie could hear the birdies cheeping outside the dining room window as she was eating oatmeal for breakfast. She kept saying "Buty, I see 'em." Then she got some oatmeal on her spoon and pointed it toward the window..."Buty bite?" I explained that birdies don't eat oatmeal, but she still wanted to feed them. Then after she had smeared oatmeal and yogurt all over her clothes, in her hair and all over her face she said, "All done. I need baff." It was so cute!
