Language Update

A couple of weeks ago I posted some of the words that Allie is saying that we have been able to make out. It seems like her vocabulary has almost doubled since then so I thought I would post an update. She never ceases to amaze me with the things she decides to say. This week at daycare she decided to write with a pen all over and I mean all over her shirt. When I got home I sat down next to her and we had a discussion about why we draw on paper and not on our shirt. By the look on her face I could tell she knew she was in trouble and her wheels were spinning. With the most serious face she said to me, "Momma wass it." As if to say "Momma, what's the big deal? All you have to do is wash it." She even tried to pull me downstairs to put her shirt in the washer. Her response totally caught me by surprise. I had never heard her say "wass it" and the fact that she connected that as a solution to the problem impressed me. So, how could I have been mad at her after that?

Cutest phrase of the week:

A few days ago Allie was in the basement with me while I was folding laudry. We have a statue of Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus in the basement. Allie went over to it and kissed Baby Jesus, then came over to me and said "Shhhh Momma, Baby Desus seeping." She is so sweet.
